A chance to share…

People ask.

I answer politely.

I cringe inside.

I loathe the question—not because it isn't valid, but because I don't want to waste my thoughts and energy for more seconds than necessary.

He will go to prison.

I am moving on.

I must continue to put all my thoughts and energy into love, my roles as mom and mimi, and everything else that my life has for me.

A major update is in order.

Last week, Amber's murderer signed a guilty plea.

The sentencing hearing is next week.

In light of this, Corey and I shared a variation of the following with family and friends today:

Friends and family are welcome to attend the sentencing and share their thoughts with the court in person or by submitting a written statement.

Please submit all written statements via email by February 2nd. Be sure to state specifically how this case has impacted your life. We ask that any letters be respectful and honor Amber's memory.

Only a few selected individuals will speak at the hearing. We encourage everyone attending to wear purple if you have it. Please be respectful and avoid any outbursts.
